Ramin Karimloo, Rachel Tucker & more West End stars to lead virtual production of Songs For A New World

Official London Theatre – Hira Desai

Lambert Jackson Productions in association with The Other Palace today announced a virtual lockdown production of Jason Robert Brown’s Songs For A New World.

Directed by Séimí Campbell (My Son Pinocchio – Southwark Playhouse) and filmed entirely in isolation, the production will feature Rachel John (Hamilton), Ramin Karimloo (Phantom of The Opera), Cedric Neal (Motown The Musical) and Rachel Tucker (Come From Away), with musical supervision by Adam Hoskins (Doctor Zhivago) and musical direction from Josh Winstone (The Last Five Years).

“It’s about one moment. It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice… or take a stand… or turn around and go back.”

Written by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years, Parade, Bridges of Madison County) and sitting between musical and song cycle, Songs For A New World will transport you through time and space to meet a startling mixture of characters, every one of them so different, but all representing our world today and our hopes for a new world… a better world.

This stunning musical will be the second virtual production from Lambert Jackson Productions and The Other Palace, following Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years which starred Laurens Samuels and Danny Becker.

Songs For A New World on The Other Palace will be streamed on The Other Palace – Digital Venue, from Thursday 23 July – Saturday 25 July for £12.50. An exclusive pre-sale for subscribers will take place from midday on Thursday 2 July at www.theotherpalace.co.uk. Tickets will go on general on sale at midday on Friday 3 July.
